Q: Why is Docker Security Scanning being removed as an option?
Docker Security Scanning Service was originally made available in a preview to a subset of users and not formally included in the subscription plans. Docker has decided not to formalize this feature into the private repo subscriptions at this time.
Q: Will any other parts of the Docker private repo plan change?
No, everything else about the service will remain the same after March 31, 2018, but the last scans will occur on that date. There is no need to change anything in terms of your repo configuration.
Q: What happens to my existing scanning results information?
The scanning results information will no longer be available after March 31, 2018.
Q: Is there any way that I can continue to pay for Docker Security Scanning Service in my Docker private repo plan?
No, not within the Docker private repo plan. Docker Security Scanning capabilities are available as part of our Docker Enterprise Edition container platform.
